Colour Palettes were so effective within the story telling of this short. To convey the mother's overlay of her expectations onto her son, I chose a yellow dress that the mother buys for Jack to wear. In this way the  colours of yellows and browns are literally laid over her son, suffocating his free expression. I chose a deep blue paint for the walls of  Jack's old bedroom and a conventional corn yellow paint for the mother's kitchen walls.There are also classic symbols of female beauty on the wall in the kitchen with a rip off image of Audrey Hepburn.
